About the artist ...

Larry Miller of Palestine, Illinois is most often characterized by his tag-line "Remembering the vanishing American scene." After a 30-year career as a Public School Administrator, he switched gears and has been a full time Painter for the past 18 years.

Larry's personal style of combining pen and ink with watercolor is self-taught through lots of trial and error. While he is known for his paintings of barns and old buildings, they aren't his primary purpose. As an artist, Larry is fascinated with attempting to re¬create the old wood, peeling paint, weathered brick and rusty metal which is most frequently found on the rapidly disappearing farm and small town commercial architecture.

Larry's style provides much detail for the viewer and is highly sought after by his collectors. He has won numerous awards in competition shows and his paintings are found in many private, corporate and public collections in every one of the contiguous lower 48 states, as well as Canada, England, France, Greece, Israel and Japan.
